The Foundations Of You're Life

Jesus spoke of the man who built his house on solid foundation vs. the man that built his house on sand. One was built on rock solid foundation, while the other was not. Jesus went on to say that the house built on the solid foundation could withstand difficult times, that the winds could blow and the house would remain, but that the house built on sand would not stand and great would be the fall of it. Just imagine the endless situations and circumstances that this application could apply to.

 

Sometimes it's possible to start out on solid foundation and slowly be moved to unstable foundation. One way for this to happen is through compromise. We all occasionally compromise, however if we continue to walk in compromise it can cause a shift and that shift can lead to unstable grounds.

 

When this happens, we must examine situations, ourselves, and the path that we have taken. For it's easy to get off course in today's world.

 

There are blessings found in the straight and narrow.

Studying the Bible can be both exciting and rewarding. Performing word searches can also be exciting, rewarding and can really expand your knowledge of scripture. Take for example the word love. If you were to perform a word search on the word love and study only those scriptures whereas the word love is mentioned. You'd get quite a overview of all the scriptures regarding love.

Prayer Request For Our Brothers And Sisters Around The World

As Christian's we have a calling to pray for our brothers and sisters around the world. Within the body of Christ which goes much farther than your local church, there are missionaries serving in other countries around the globe. Just imagine serving in a country and land where there may be no running water, adequate food or housing. Just imagine serving in a country that was just hit by a earthquake, floods or where disease is in full swing. I have heard many stories about missionaries and what they encounter while overseas.

 

Please pray for our brothers and sisters in the mission fields and consider supporting them as they serve others in love.

Preparing For The Storms Of Live In Advance

Just imagine if your house was not built on concrete, but rather sand. Things could become very unstable at any given time. A earthquake could occur, or a winter storm. The Future Of The American Economy

Who will be the next President Of The United States? Will Obama seek a second term and if so would the American people put him back in the White House? Will Hillary Clinton run again or possible the gal from Alaska? What will the country look like by that time? Will America's economy have recovered? Will all the US Troops be out of Iraq and what of Afghanistan? Will the stock market be strong or still encountering problems? Will all the bail outs have rescued the American Economy of will the American people find themselves in a depression? What does and will the future bring. There are endless charity organizations out there. There's no doubt that we all have many opportunities to be a blessing to others through various charity organizations. One that comes to mind is "Feed The Children'. That is one organization that always touches my heart. They provide much needed food and services for millions around the world that do not have.

 

Another organization that is a worthy organization is "Operation Shoe Box". They distribute Christmas decorated show boxes to churches and other organizations to be filled with toys and other items for children, pick them up and ship them worldwide. Regardless of the charity, whether it's local, national or worldwide. There are many great charities out there to choose from.

The Evening News Blues

I'm sure that you occasionally watch the evening news. Sometimes I think it should be called the evening blues. It's like is there anything good and encouraging to be seen and heard on the news? Every night the news showcases the latest world problems. From financial matters, to terrorism, to violence and so on. I realize that our world is complex, however what about all the good and wonderful things that daily happen around our world?

 

Seems to me that our lives, homes and communities would be better off if we started seeing all the beauty in the world, all the wonderful accomplishments that mankind has made and less feed the flesh with fear stuff.
